On September 15, 2020, The Solaria Corporation of Fremont, California filed a 337 investigation application with ITC, claiming that the products exported to, imported, and sold in the United States infringed its patent rights (the US registered patent number 10,522,707, 10,651,333, 10,763,388), requesting the US ITC to issue a limited exclusion order and a prohibition order.
Canadian Solar Inc. of Canada and Canadian Solar (USA) Inc. of the United States are named defendants.
The U.S. International Trade Commission will determine the end of the investigation within 45 days after filing the case. Except for cases where the US Trade Representative vetoed it for policy reasons, the relief order issued by the US International Trade Commission in the 337 cases took effect on the date of issuance and shall have a final effect on the 60th day after the date of issuance.
